We were delighted to see our UK friend, Simon Clarke MP’s, op-ed published in the The Canberra Times this morning. C4C as been working with the UK Conservatives and Conservative Environment Network (CEN) on the challenges our governments face transitioning to a carbon free economy: “Conservatives across the world are realising that we can combat the threat posed by global warming and grow jobs and the economy too”.

Simon says on trade: “With allies like the US, the UK and the EU now looking at implementing border carbon adjustments Australia has a golden opportunity to join a family of nations committed to climate action and increasing the flow of clean trade. If implemented, these border adjustments would stimulate inward investment 1into clean industries, and level the playing field with high-emitting producers like China”.

We thank CEN and Simon for their support to C4C.
